ashley dorr

ashley began practicing yoga to supplement her training as a runner. through the years as she recognized the transformative and spiritual components of yoga her practice became an integrated and devoted part of her daily life. in 2011 ashley completed the first shala teacher training program under the warm and wise guidance of barbara verrochi and kristin leigh, where she deepened her practice and knowledge of ashtanga and vinyasa yoga. she is honored to apprentice with barbara and is beyond grateful to be a part of the shala community. ashley is also appreciative to her first teachers at jivamukti who helped pave the way for her. ashley’s classes are a creative mix of yoga philosophy, breath, energizing asana, music and meditation. in her classes she hopes to extend compassion to help students find their inner strength and serenity. ashley is also a licensed art therapist in private practice and is the co-creator of the creative bodhi project which fuses yoga and art therapy to empower at-risk youth. ashley is humbled by all of her supportive teachers, family, and friends who continue to guide her with grace, wisdom and insight.
