Caroline Mceneaney

After nearly ten years of dabbling in different yoga schools and studies, Caroline earned her 200 hour RYT certificate through Tribe Yoga in Austria, while living abroad. Her training there focused on teaching vinyasa classes, with a heavy emphasis on the Ashtanga Vinyasa method as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Inspired by that training, Caroline returned home to Connecticut, where she began a more focused study of Ashtanga yoga under the guidance of Authorized teacher Megan Riley, who encouraged her to travel to Mysore and learn from the source. Caroline made her first trip to Mysore in 2015, studying under Saraswathi Jois.

After returning to the States, Caroline earned her 500 hour RYT certification here at The Shala. She remains committed to the Ashtanga Vinyasa method, seeking to share its benefits with her students, and truly believes that the practice welcomes all. Caroline is grateful to her teachers at The Shala for always guiding her with kindness, intelligence and wisdom, and for cultivating a community of love and devotion.
