Chelsea Dill

Chelsea was introduced to yoga by her ballet teacher in her early teens, however it wasn’t for many years later that she found herself returning to the practice more and more, enamored with the peace and clarity it brought into her life at times of doubt and uncertainty. Over the years, she fell in love with yoga as a practice of presence, self discovery, sangha, and compassion for oneself and others. She learned how our breath can be a bridge between the conscious and the subconscious, and how we can move the body to move the mind. Chelsea’s classes are rooted in Ashtanga vinyasa, and draw inspiration from Jivamukti yoga, Qigong, dance and other movement forms. As a teacher, she aims to guide students through a fluid, breath-centered, heart-forward movement, accompanied by yoga and buddhist philosophy, pranayama breathwork, creative sequencing, a little sweat and a thoughtfully curated playlist to help you get into flow. As a graduate of The Shala’s 200hr teacher training, she is most grateful for her teachers Barbara Verrochi and Kristin Leigh, and The Shala, for honoring and sharing with her the teachings of Ashtanga yoga and Buddhism.
