Connie Berardinelli

Connie fell in love with yoga over 10 years ago in a windowless basement in Auburn, Alabama. Teaching and practicing yoga became part of her daily life, and bloomed the confidence to move to San Francisco after college graduation. After many years practicing yoga and living many lives in California, she returned home to New York (originally from Newburgh) and now resides in and loves the East Village.
Connie is honored to (almost!) graduate from The Shala’s 2024 300-hour training program under Kristin Leigh and Barbara Verrochi. This has allowed her to more firmly plant her wild roots in New York, fall in love with teaching, and deepen her spiritual studies and yoga practice.
In Connie’s classes, you can expect to cultivate spiritual, mental, and physical strength rooted in Yoga, Buddhist, and Vedic Philosophy. Connie infuses various meditation styles as a large part of her vinyasa classes (her favorite pose to teach is tree pose!!). She intertwines her love of the natural world and her sangha into her meditations and vinyasa classes. She is most influenced by her beloved teachers, Janet Stone, Roy Gan, Rima Rabbath, Ashley Dorr, and Barbara and Kristin.
When she is not teaching, she is reading at coffee shops, tending to her plants, daydreaming about the beach, laying in the sun, practicing at The Shala or Souk, and living her practice off the mat.
