Lisa found yoga ten years ago; and appreciated the overlap with dance training of movement and breath. Ultimately, the practice of movement (asanas) combined with stillness (meditation); gratitude for community (sangha); and compassion to others (metta); allowed space for healing after family loss and career transitions.
Lisa finds that practicing yoga is an anchor for impermanence. She believes that the four corners of the mat provide a journey for going deeper within ourselves; and affect how we relate to ourselves and others.
Lisa is a 200-hour graduate of The Shala teacher training program; where she participated in a 20-hour mentorship. Lisa also has 30+ hours of hands-on assist traininngs.
Lisa believes that within adversity lies lessons to evolve. These lessons inform her teachings. Her classes are infused with music, steady guidance, warmth, and humor. Lisa is grateful to her teachers and every student who takes her class.
