Meg is a 2023 graduate of The Shala’s 200 HR YTT program. Her yoga journey began in 2010 after friends recommended it to help with grief. She discovered that both yoga and mindfulness meditation helped create space in her mind and openness in her heart which enabled her to better move through life after loss. Meg has had the opportunity to be coached by Rolf Gates, who also inspired her love for yoga and meditation. She believes in the power of mindfulness and has been practicing Insight Meditation since 2015 and has sat retreat at Insight Meditation Society (Barre, MA) numerous occasions. Meg credits her appreciation for mindfulness meditation to teachers Sharon Salzberg and Jack Kornfield. It is her hope that her students and community walk away from her classes with more space in their minds and openness in their hearts.
