Sara Walshe

Sara Walshe is both a yoga teacher and a practicing attorney: a yogattorney.  A lover of logic and philosophy, she bring these concepts into her yoga classes and invites her students to conduct self-exploration while on the mat.  As an ashtanga practitioner, Sara teaches a heavily-ashtanga influenced vinyasa class, with a focus on quieting the mind through breathing and movement.  Sara believes that with dedication, the yoga practice can serve as our greatest mirror, revealing and clarifying one’s true self.

Sara completed the a 200-hour yoga teacher training at Yoga Vida in 2011 and The Shala’s 300-hour training in 2016, under the mentorship of Barbara Verrochi, to whom she is very grateful.  Sara also participated in a 50-hour study of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.  Sara lives in the East Village with her husband.   When not yoga teaching or lawyering, you can find Sara headstanding.
