COME SING CALL AND RESPONSE with Gulam Mohammed Mirashi, Master Vocalist and Teacher. The singing, chanting, and harmonium-playing that you know and love from Shala classes is directly influenced by the teachings of Ustad Gulam Mohammed Mirashi, affectionately known as “Uncle.” He is the seventh generation of his vocal line, drawing from the Agra Gharana as well as regional influences from his native Rajasthan. All lessons include scale work, philosophy, and call-and-response singing.
A nourishing and supportive space open to all individuals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color. This offering aims to cultivate collective agency, reflection, celebratory joy while empowering each other through peer led meditation.
All levels of experience are welcome.

Join us for an enriching + restorative week of yoga, meditation, pranayama + more! Start your day with physically invigorating + mentally centering vinyasa classes followed by meditation + pranayama. Spend your midday resting, reading, swimming, surfing, or going on adventures. In the early evening you’ll wind down with some slow vinyasa + restorative yoga followed by a sunset swim, a consciously prepared dinner + hanging in the great evening atmosphere of Costa Rica! All levels welcome!
Grief at times can feel deeply isolating, let yourself be held by blessed community as you practice tending to your grief. This offering is for folks who are looking for support and community as they navigate personal and/or collective grief. As well as for those who are looking to be a better resource for those grieving. A combination of slow flowing asana, restorative postures (resting on props), breath awareness, ritual and more will be offered to help provide the space to witness, explore and tend to that which is weighing heavy on the Heart.
