Three Dosha Yoga | The Practice of Coming Home
Thursday, May 21
5:30-6:45pm

The ancient science of Ayurveda is a whole body, mind and spirit healing system. The three doshas or organizing psychophysical forces are common in all of us. Vata is the energy that controls all movements, Pitta the force that digests food and all experiences, and Kapha is the strength of immunity and the time line of our longevity. When these three forces are balanced within, no matter what is going on in the world we become positive and feel at home in our bodies and our time. Come learn and practice several tricks to stay connected to the elements that create our world and our bodies. This class is a lecture. No asana.

Three Dosha Yoga | Asana as a Road Home
Friday, May 22
12:00-1:30pm

A yoga practitioner uses their time on the mat to listen, to treat imbalance and to prevent dis-ease. The doshas, Vata-Pitta-Kapha, are psychobiological energies which in balance restore states of well-being, and out of balance – become the forces of dis-ease. During imbalance of the doshas, VPK will cause havoc within the body and mind and create a false feeling of disconnect from Source. This class will take you through the traditional Hatha Yoga Sequencing: Kriya, Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation, detailing awareness and balance of the psychophysiological doshas.
